What Will I Do On My Vacation At The Sky Valley Resort?

Sky Valley is truly a glorious destination. With mild temperatures year round, there is always an outdoor activity that you can enjoy in the amazing beauty of the North Georgia Mountains (and one mile from the North Carolina Mountains). The golf course is one of the most spectacular ones on the East Coast with a fun but challenging layout and gorgeous views on every hole.

There are four tennis courts of hard court and two of clay and the resort pool complex features a heated outdoor pool with mountain views, a workout room, a sauna, a Jacuzzi. The timeshare headquarters features several computers to use, a lending library, board games to use and sports equipment you can borrow.

There are local hikes, the nearby fire tower being one of the most rewarding as the 360 degree views from the top are well worth the 45 minute hike (This is where the picture above was taken from).

For the kids we have a wonderful playground as well as lots of ducks to feed, fish to catch and waterfalls to play in.

Something that doesn’t get a lot of headlines but a major pastime at Sky Valley is porch sitting and enjoying watching the golfers or the sunset and drinking in the fresh mountain air.

For a partial list of the many, many, wonderful activities available nearby your Sky Valley vacation, go here.

The Chapel Of Sky Valley

The Chapel of Sky Valley is a year round interdenominational house of worship. The beautiful Bavarian architectural style with wooden-beamed interior and chandelier lighting only adds to the worshipful nature of the building. The chapel bells ring on the hour and Taps helps conclude each day.

Gone Fishing

From the shores of the lake or on one of the many nearby ponds and streams, fishing is available and no Georgia license is needed within the resort.
